Destinoo Privacy Policy
Last updated: 6 July 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Destinoo handles your data when you use the app. We have tried to write it clearly, without unnecessary legalese, because we know many of our users are teenagers and their families.
1. Data controller
- Controller: Mikel Arregi Lazaro (individual developer)
- Address: Leioa, Bizkaia, Spain
- Contact email: soporte@destinoo.es
- Website: destinoo.es
- App: Destinoo (Android package: com.mikmits.destinoo)
2. What data we collect
2.1 Test answers and results
The answers you give in the test and the resulting vocational profile (your top 5 vocations) are stored in your device’s local storage.
2.2 Purchase data
When you buy full access, Google Play only confirms to us that the purchase went through. We do not access your card, bank account or any financial data: all of that is handled by Google.
2.3 What we do NOT collect
We do not ask you to create an account. We do not collect your name, email, phone number, address, contacts, precise location, photos or passwords. The app does not use the microphone or the camera. We never sell, rent or transfer your data to third parties for commercial purposes.
3. Where your data is stored
Almost everything Destinoo does happens on your own device. Your results history is stored locally and, if you uninstall the app, that data is deleted entirely. You can also erase all your data at any time from Settings → Delete my data (this removes the test history from the device).
4. Purposes of processing
We use the data described above solely to:
- Provide the core service: the adaptive career test.
- Remember your results history between sessions.
- Manage your full access once the purchase has been made.
5. Legal basis for processing
We process your data on the following grounds:
- Performance of a contract: to provide the career test and remember your results history, under the Terms of Use you accept when using the app.
- Legitimate interest: solely to maintain the security and correct technical operation of the app.
6. Third parties involved
We work with a very small number of providers, and only for what is strictly necessary:
- Google Play Store: handles payments, licences and purchases. More information in their privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
- Web analytics: the destinoo.es website uses Google Analytics 4, and only if you consent to it. Until you accept the cookie notice nothing from Google is loaded: no measurement script, no cookies, no request to their servers. If you decline the notice, or simply do not answer, nothing is sent. If you accept, the script is loaded and GA4 stores cookies (
_ga,_ga_<container>) to measure pages visited, session duration and events, with the IP address anonymised. You can change your decision at any time from the “Cookies” link in the footer. Google acts as a data processor; more information at https://policies.google.com/privacy. The mobile app does not run analytics in production.
7. Data retention
Your answers and history remain stored locally for as long as you keep the app installed and do not erase the data manually. When you uninstall the app, this data disappears from the device.
8. Your rights
As a user, you have the right to:
- Access the data we process about you.
- Rectify inaccurate data.
- Erase your data (you can do this yourself from Settings, or by asking us).
- Portability: request a copy of your data in a structured format.
- Object to and restrict processing.
To exercise any of these rights, write to us at soporte@destinoo.es. We will reply within a maximum of 30 days.
If you believe we have not handled your data properly, you can lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD): https://www.aepd.es
9. Minors
Destinoo is designed with students aged 14 and over in mind, which is why we have minimised data collection as far as possible: we do not ask for an account, we do not collect a name, email or any identifying data, and test answers are stored only on the device.
Under article 7 of Spanish Organic Law 3/2018 (LOPDGDD), people over 14 may give consent to the processing of their personal data themselves. For children under 14, we recommend using the app under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian.
Since we do not collect identifying personal data and processing is limited to local storage on the device, the risk associated with use by minors is limited. Even so, any question or request relating to a minor’s use of the app can be sent to soporte@destinoo.es.
10. Security
We apply reasonable measures to protect the information we process, including the fact that most data never leaves your device. No system is 100% foolproof, but we minimise risk by not collecting unnecessary identifying personal data.
11. Cookies
The Destinoo app is a native mobile application and does not use browser cookies. The destinoo.es website uses Google Analytics 4 cookies (_ga, _ga_<container>), which only exist if you accept the cookie notice: until then none is created. They measure page usage anonymously and are kept for up to 2 years. You can give or withdraw your consent at any time from the “Cookies” link in the footer, and clear cookies already created from your browser.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example if we add new features or change providers. If the changes are significant, we will notify you through the app itself. We recommend reviewing this policy periodically.
